Valent’s John Altom presents Valor award for National Peanut Board to chairman Ed White of Alabama

Valent has been presenting the Valor award for as long as the Southern Peanut Growers Conference has been in existence and as long as Valor® SX Herbicide has been available for peanut growers.

“That’s our number one herbicide that’s used pre-emerge, right behind the planter,” says regional representative John Altom. “Very effective on Palmer Amaranth and all your small seed broadleaf weeds.”

Altom says before Palmer, the biggest weed problem for peanut growers was Florida Beggarweed, but Valor has helped to pretty much eliminate that problem.
