Our God is an awesome God and this band is an awesome band!

The Akins are a father, his three sons, and the drummer who kind of married into the family, whose faith and family values shape everything they do. To borrow a phrase from a certain talk show host, these guys truly have talent on loan from God – and they are all about giving back. In recent years, God has nationally expanded The Akins’ ministry with their fresh sound and original songs and they have had multiple chart-topping songs including their recent #1 song, “I Want My Stage To Be An Altar.”

Don Koehler says God gets the credit for the inspiration of getting this great group to the conference this year and it had to be because The Akins brought tears to many eyes with their heartfelt ministry and brought the crowd to its feet with a fantastic version of “Because He Lives.” Watch it below.
